I cannot recommend Georgie and Gem Equine highly enough. Whilst over a number of years I have developed a fantastic relationship with Georgie who has at all times been very professional but at the heart of that relationship has been the wellbeing of my horses, which is Georgie's paramount and only consideration, that has to be right i.e. her relationship with my horses is more important than her interactions with me who is secondary in that equation. Personally I wouldn't want it any other way. Georgie is always responsive and operates to the highest standard. This came home to roost over Christmas 2022 when Georgie had to attend at my yard ,not local to her twice day on a daily basis. Without over dramatizing yet again she saved my horses life. In order to avoid excessive costs, she taught me how to administer intermuscular injections which was invaluable especially as this saved costs over a Bank Holiday period. She is also extremely patient and masterful with my two year old who would test the patience of a saint! In conclusion a very talented vet and I would HIGHLY recommend her services.

I have had Georgie for nearly 10 years and I would NOT have any other vet. Georgie has saved my boys and done work on my horses that other vets wouldn't even consider. Georgie always finds a solution to suit you and your horse physically and financially! Also unlike many other vets georgie takes the time to explain what it is she is doing or going to do. Gives advice exactly how you want it. Up front and honest not sugar coated ! I wouldn't trust any other vet to see to my horses as in my experience she's always been the best. I've had horses for 18 years and the 10 years I've had Georgie she has always excelled more than anyone !!

I found Georgie and GEM Equine by chance as I was looking for an equine vet to help me conduct a 5 stage vetting. Georgie has been incredibly thorough throughout the process and provided a comprehensive and professional service. Her report is clear in its recommendations, easy to follow and she’s provided really helpful follow up advice. Having found Georgie by chance I’m very pleased to have done so.

Highley recommend Gem Equine. I moved to Gem equine several years ago. Georgie and Nerissa have given us such an excellent service. Very professional, easy to talk to and fantastic value for money. Always available when ever you need them. Tonight Georgie stood out on our yard for an hour -3 degrees while my farrier shod my young horse. Since he had laminitis last year he has been sedated to shoe but the farrier was happy to try without but Georgie was still happy to come and wait just in case he needed some sedation. I don't know of many practices that would do that for you.

Have been with Gem Equine for years. Georgie is a superb equine vet and I would not trust my horses with anyone else.

From routine vaccinations and dentals to more serious issues like colic and uveitis, Georgie and Nerissa have been fantastic with my horses and I can't rate them highly enough. Very friendly and quick to respond to messages/calls. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Really lovely vets here, always helpful and so much knowledge to them they are always able to find the source of the issue quickly and get it resolved. Also a very good response time, there is always someone able to get to you as soon as they possibly can and they offer a very personal service too!

Georgie was recommended to us by a neighbour when we were buying a first pony for our daughter, that was about 6 years ago. Since then we will only use Gem Equine for pre purchase vetting and she has been 100% correct each time. Her advice is fair and professional as not only does she check the soundness of the pony or horse etc in the 5 stage vetting she knows the rider too so wants to make sure that she gives the right advice for the family too. We also use Georgie for dental work and annual jabs. Very thorough, reliable on every occasion. I wouldnt hesitate in phoning Georgie for advice on anything and would recommend her to anyone. Especially if you want an honest. Professional pre purchase vetting.

Gem Equine is our first port of call here at Westhills Equestrian, She is extremely knowledgeable, you get a fast response, and because she is a mobile Vet has everything to hand in her well packed van, which I might add is always extremely near and tidy ! Georgina looked after my mare when she came down with laminitis some years ago, couldnt have asked for better care and attention. Thankfully Tilly made a full recovery ( naturally we are very careful with her diet now) Had her out today to remove a couple of melanomas growing under Tilly's tail, one of which had doubled in size in the last few weeks. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently, and my mare ( yes she is a grey) was absolutely fine and demanding her haynet within a very short time. ( sorry you will have to wait a litle longer)!No stress and all sorted and stitched. I WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND GEM EQUINE FOR YOUR HORSES WELBEING AND IF YOU HAVE A GREY WITH MELANOMAS PLEASE HAVE THEM CHECKED OUT REMOVAL CAN BE SO QUICK AND EASY.Thank you. ROSEMARY NR ASHOVER
